Join us for the Ordination and Installation service of our new Pastor at 3:00 pm July 11th, 2021!
This morning a total of 33 graduating and returning candidates for assignment from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary will receive their respective calls into the Lord’s harvest field. The call service begins at 10 am. A link to the service can be found here:
After discussion, the church council has decided that, following Pastor Odya’s final service on May 30th, the livestream of our Sunday morning service will be discontinued. This means that on Sunday, June 6th, there will no longer be a livestream of the service. The council felt that with more of our members being vaccinated and more of our families returning to normal living, yet with in-person church attendance increasing only marginally, now is a good time to encourage these families to return to in-person worship. Recordings of the service and sermon will continue to be uploaded to our YouTube channel and the church website at a later point in the week.
Following the CDC’s findings that there is only a 1 in 10,000 chance of contracting COVID-19 through surface contact, and because of difficulties in seeing the TV screen as more people begin to return to public worship, the church council has decided to bring the hymnals back into the pews. Other churches that have a single church service during the week have done the same thing with no issues.
For those who wish not to make use of the hymnals, a smaller amount of bulletins with the service printed in them will be available at the back of the church for the time being. Also, the TV will continue to be used for those who do not wish to use a hymnal.
Bulletins with the announcements and Scripture readings–the way they used to be printed–will return to the bulletin boxes of those who have been attending in-person. A few extra will be laid out underneath the bulletin boxes.
