For the last several years, there have been preliminary talks and plans to replace the windows in the hallway and fellowship hall. At the next voters’ meeting, scheduled for April 19th, the church council was going to recommend a proposal to replace the windows. However, with the current lockdown, that voters’ meeting has been indefinitely postponed. Add to that some changes in the construction schedule of the construction company, a discount currently available on the windows, and the lack of use of the church facilities during the lockdown, the church council has decided to green-light the project without official approval from the voters’. That said, a number of regular attendees of the voters’ meetings were contacted and they all spoke in favor of the project. Construction will hopefully begin in the next few weeks. The church council hopes the members of St. Peter’s will understand the circumstances and the opportunity presented that led to us making the decision without gaining approval from the voters’. These are rare, exceptional cases. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding the construction, its cost, etc., please contact one of the council members or Pastor Odya. We are glad to hear from you and provide any answers you may need.
